Gerber 6977 Silver Trident Single Serration

This knife has an 154CM stainless steel clip point blade with double-edged partial serrations. The Silver Trident knife has the most durable and comfortable handle of any combat knife ever produced. Made by comolding two different versions of Hytrel® technology the handle has a reinforced inner core with a soft easy-to-grip cover molded over the entire handle for a textured grip. The handle also features a stainless steel butt cap suitable for hammering or pounding in emergency situations. The handle is fastened to the blade with stainless steel fasteners. The Silver Trident comes with a Blackhawk ballistic nylon sheath. The sheath also features a pocket on the front for accessories as well as multiple attachment straps and points for multiple carrying options. The Silver Trident comes with a Gerber Blades limited Lifetime Warranty.Silver Tridents were initially issued to Enlisted men of the SEAL Teams. Later the Silver was changed to Gold. Chief Watson idea for developing a real tool the SEAL Teams could use has been accomplished and when he was awarded his Trident it was the Silver Trident. Chief Watson named this knife the SILVER TRIDENT in honor of those warriors whom he served with in combat and especially the ones who did not come home.
